Here is a knife for the Chicago knife show this September. This is my first D-Guard Bowie, the 11" blade is made of 720 layers of 1084 and 15N20 in Brush Fire Pattern Damascus. The handle is of Desert Ironwood. The fittings are of mild steel that has been salt blued to a black color, this is the first knife I've done to have salt blued fittings and this is also the longest blade I've done. Chuck Ward will be photographing this so I will put his picture of the knife on here after he sends it to me.

Also special thanks to Harvey Dean and Centercross Videos for their DVD on D-Guards.

Tell me what you think.:thumbup:

WOW!!! That is spectacular!!!:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

It's a beauty. Always wanted a D-guard, but damn if they aren't technically illegal in the state of California.

I continue to be very impressed with your work, Kyle. The damascus pattern on this piece is real tight and controlled. If I make it to Chicago, I'll welcome to the chance to give this one a long look.

Great job Kyle. Harvey would be impressed. Can't wait to see what you have for the Oklahoma show. Beautiful knife.

You better pace yourself Kyle. There's a LOOOONG time before retirement. ;) :D :D

Another outstanding piece. :thumbup:

Super D-guard, Kyle! Great damascus blade, great piece of ironwood, great looking bowie. Can't wait to see what else ends up going north with you.
