After reading a recent thread here, concerning making your own knife to carry as a example to show people that ask "you make knives????" , I decided, heck I'v made'm for my boy, my dad, my grandpap,ect...why not make one for me.

So Im thinking this is the one I'll keep,

It's forged from 5160 round stock and flat ground. It has a stainless guard and butt cap, and stainless, vulcanized paper and buffalo horn spacers. The handle was a huge crown of really textured mule deer, but it had a brow tine, and .....eh just didnt want all the bumps on it, so I ground it off and shaped it down then dyed and polished.

In the pic, those aren't scratches you see, as I finished this blade down to like 900 grit, but then I etched it for a good while.

thank for looking,

thanks bro,

ive been cutting just about all I can find with this 'en, most of the time with no productive reason, other than I like to cut stuff:p

Man is it a cutter, I polished the edge a bit more which im sure microscopically , believe it or not convex's the edge ever so slightly, wow that 5160, is a spectactular steel, i really enjoy using it, i actually just forged another from it today;)

thanks again
