I have alot of cutoff steel in the shop thats only about 6" long. I was out cleaning up today and decided I needed to do something with it. I love slipjoints and carry one everyday. I decided to do a fixed blade with my version of a sodbuster, one of my favorite patterns. Anywho, here it is. Im going to try doing bolsters and maybe even a swedge on it. I also want to see if Griffin Hawks can do a back pocket sheath that will house this and a slipjoint.
3 1/2" handle, 2 1/2" blade

Looks good Chris. I'm sure Griff can come up with something. BTW, Just1mor will love the pic with your feet.

Wilson, glad you thought of me . . . . ;)
Chris, being the nice guy I am, and knowing how self-rightous you are about your workmanship & how studious you are about your quality control (Q/C), I couldn't help but notice there seems to be a small hairline crack on the tip of the blade. You had better send that to me after you get it finished, wouldn't want someone else to see it and think you were using inferior materials or workmanship on your own knives . . . :D :D
I'll check it out and get back to you . . .
Be safe & Merry Christmas.

that's a sweet one :) love the elf, too (is it a famous one that only I don't recognise?)

Funny story behind the elf Sveqs. We got my 3 yo an Elf on the shelf this year. Its a little elf doll that you can sit on tables, chairs, anywhere. We told him that he was watching him for Santa to make sure he is being good. The other kids wake up every morning and move the elf throughout the house. After the second day the little one came up and said "daddy, I don't like that elf!)
