I always carry a picture of my kids in my wallet. Naturally, as any proud parent would do, I want to share this picture with their godfathers; my friends in the Busse forum.

Mr. Healy, please be advised that this picture may pose a threat to your current fragile condition. Please consult with a physician before viewing...

Wulf, what model is the smaller knife in the picture? Is is a Steel Heart I?

-Greg

Greg,

The smaller knife is an early "chopped Steel Heart II," as Andy Prisco described it. It was made by Tom Wheeler while he was working as Jerry's apprentice in (I believe) the early nineties. I picked it up on E-Bay about a month ago and the seller didn't know much about it, but it's definately a Busse Steel Heart of some sort, ground from ATS-34. To learn more, refer to the original thread regarding this knife - http://www.bladeforums.com/ubb/Forum39/HTML/000321.html

Thanks, Derrick. I can't believe I missed that thread. It's a nice-looking piece of steel.

Kimbers and Busse's...a pair indeed.

Hint on the Kimber...had several of their factory mags cause problems. Went with the 7 and 10 rounders from Wilson, excellent reliability.

Thanks for the tip Bruce. Now if only Kimber could make an INFI barrel...
