Greetings all,
A while back I had purchased a pair of small utility knives from Dave Kelly. I mentioned to Dave that the smaller of the two - a sweet little ironwood handled piece with a killer hamon - would make a perfect desk knife.
The knife came with a typically excellent sheath by Dave as shown below:
I had no sooner got the words out of my mouth than Dave was saying I should have told him earlier and he would have crafted a little desk stand for the piece in addition to the sheath.
Those words were no sooner out of his mouth than I was saying "Well, even though you no longer have the knife on hand, could you still do the stand?"
The answer revealed below:

That would be A-firmative.
Ironwood every bit as presentation grade as I have seen on any knife forms the base and arm, with an African blackwood base. The wood is highly polished with a carnauba wax finish. A small, tooled, sheath covers the blade while it is on the stand.
Dave made a mock up wooden knife to ensure a good fit and real one does indeed fit real good. (Crappy cell phone pic - didn't have my camera at the office).
Thanks again Dave - always a pleasure.
