The customer asked for LOTS of gold. It's difficult to use a great deal of gold without making the knife look garish. At just over 9" long this one has some heft!!!!

Wolfgang, where did your inspiration for this design come from?

Absolutely gorgeous, from design to execution. And the gold is perfect, IMHO. You never seem to disappoint the crowd here, Wolfgang!

Best,

Bob

Thanks for the comments!!!

No special inspiration for this one Lorien. It was just playing with lines.
The little folder I am working on now though should be interesting. Inspiration: Aquarium at the dentists office. Designed the knife as a distraction while waiting for the torture to begin.
Will post when complete.

One can only imagine what must have come to mind, waiting for "the chair". Will love to see it!

a wave of gold washing up on a damascus shore under a golden sunset...

What a stunning piece. You have refined your sense of curves over time so that the extraordinary has become your norm. We know this.

Anyone who reads this and saw 'Finding Nemo' will squirm in their chair. So very telling in your brief description. :D
