Here is one I just finished. It is a BIG chopper that I forged a long time ago. I just got around to finishing it because it has a little crack in the spine so I knew I could never sell it. I didn't want to s#!t can it so I decided to finish it out and keep it for myself and see what happens. The handle is jade green G11 and the guard is cold blued mild steel. I dipped the blade in FeCl and then applied mustard a couple of times. This thing is a beast. Let me know what you think. Thanks for looking.

Steel: 5160
Handle Material: Green G11
Guard: Mild Steel
OAL: 17 1/4"
Blade Length: 11 1/2"

Pretty cool! Beat the crap out of that thing and post pics of the carnage you wreak with it!

Thanks for the comments.

not2sharp--This one won't be sold as I just can't trust it completely. I will beat it up right good and learn something from it so the next one will be better.

Jay--Not sure what the angle of the flat grind is. I just forged it pretty close to shape and then grind from there. The edge is not super thick. Glad you like it.

Thats cool, looks to be a good chopper. I would think it would do most jobs you put it up to..
What do you figure the weight is .?

I love the handle. Looks like a fun knife.

Thanks for the comment, it is appreciated. I just weighed the knife and it comes in at 22oz. It is no featherweight, but feels good.
