A talented Dutch slipjoint maker and myself had a "secret knife project".
'I'll make one for you and you make one for me'
And so we did. Joseph Haans made a French style cranforce (forced notch) with sambar stag scales, a carbon blade and a killer hamon!
I made a zulu-spear out of RWL34 with integral liners/bolsters, green bakelite covers and an art-deco style shield.
We had an inspiring afternoon and parted as happy men, both with a beautiful new knife.
