One for you photo editors .

tried...and I can't get the first line either. :(

They look like Hibben Throwers. My memory is not too great. Maybe look at BudK in a minute.

It doesn't work like it does in the movies. If the quality of a picture is too low, you cannot make it better by zooming in.

It looks like it says 'kittyhawk' to me.

Also, as richardallen pointed out, hollywood is full of bullshit. You can't 'enlarge that portion there' and have it go from trash to supernaturally sharp like they do in the movies. The information just isn't there.

Ironically, you CAN make a poor picture look 'better' by shrinking it down, however.

IMHO:

Second line is "440 stainless steel"

First is *something*hawk (it seems to me like it starts with N but I am not sure, maybe there is Y before hawl something like N*something*yhawk)

Sort of,
there are products like Genuine Fractals that can enhance image by fractal analysis of the source BUT it is quite limited, no Blade Runner style:)

EDIT: if you want try out there are demo versions, google "Alien Skin Blow Up" or "Genuine Fractals"

Can't tell what that first line says either, but I'd bet a dollar to a doughnut the flip side says "MADE IN CHINA". :p

I have upon ocassion when using photo editing equpment been able to zoom in and read something I couldn,t otherwise read . I guess it depends upon the original picture . I too think they are hibben copies . They are made from 440 and some of the hibben knives I have seen were only 420 . They are only for throwing so holding a great edge is not foremost with me . They look like skinners so if they held a good edge all the better . Thanks for looking .

Skyhawk ? I,ll take your word for it . The first letter sure looks like an N to me .
It kinda looks like a poor stamping job . I may want my dollar fifty back . L:O:L

Skyhawk it is . I just googled them and came up with similar knives first thing . Thanks .

Sarge ? for a dollar fifty a knife I,d take it made by a little old lady in Pasadena .

So, cheap junk, at a good price, is what, a bargain of some sort? Usually when I encounter knives of this "caliber", it's in the hands of rookies whose throwing skills are generally commensurate with their choice in equipment. Net result, I've more than once had to straighten out bent ones by laying them on the ground and stomping them with my boot. I guess you get what you pay for.

Using my software, first letter is an N.
Second letter looks like a u or a v, though I realize that doesn't make much sense. Considering that the
Third letter is a y.
Last 4 letters are hawk.

Poor printing/stamping job, I'll say.

Could be Mayhawk.

Anyway, it's possible that even if you've got the knife right in front of you, you're still not gonna be able to read it...

It looks like it says Nuyhawk. Again, lousy printing/stamping.

With all due respect, that piece of steel looks like a mess.
