Blade: 11" in 5160 carbon steel - Handle: Premium Imbuia Burl -

A large bowie is always a good sight! Berardo presents Old Sarah, a massive 11 inches blade forged from 5160 steel with a large clip. The fittings are all stainless and satin finished with a nice touch on the guard design. The handle is imbuia burl with piquet work and the sheath is hand sewed and aged cow leather. The pin that crosses the tang and the handle is acctualy hidden as one of the piquet pieces of the job done on the handle, a nice and classy detail.

Very clean. Slick execution. I like it! But I don't know much about Berardo... does (will) he ever make it to any knife shows in the US?
 
Every knife I see of his I like better than the one before - and I have like dthem all! Hes' doing great work and advancing at a rapid pace. Must be something in the water over there. :p This is an impressive big bowie. The pin-work on the handle really gives this one a lift.

Great looking big Bowie. :thumbup:
Didn't know much of anything about Imbuai so I googled up that it's known as Brazilian walnut but it's not actually in walnut family,very dense.
Pretty cool that he hid the pin in one of the piquet pieces.
Very clean work and nice sheath as well.

Man, my website and e-mail server are down since yesterday. I am trrying to have it solved with my hosting company... they said they didn't receive my last payment. Since i'm out of town I need tyo get back home on monday and find the receipt to rub it on their faces... They might, but I can't open my e-mails to check. I will try to call them.
