I only own one Kershaw, a Link. And I only own one ZT, the 0990.

Both are exceptional for what they are. The Link being USA made, steel ht on the 420hc is fantastic, coating has held up fine, and ergos fit the hand like a glove.

The 0990 is all about lightweight edc designed futuristic looking, and functions with perfect fit and finish. The cf is well done in a perfect weave, and the way they combined the blade profile edge to handle ratio is about as proportioned as it gets.

That said I have yet to find another Kershaw or zero tolerance that I want to jump on. I don't know why but I only have one of each feel like I have a good representation of what the companies are able to produce and just haven't found anything it catches my eye. It might be because I like them too much and haven't found something that would stack up against them.

Kershaw continues to come out with a lot of cheap designs or designs that I like but made in China. Zero tolerance seems to have stalled the number of new offerings they have and this year will only be a fixed blade? I tend to like lighter weight designs and not into the big tanks anymore.

Great picks, the both of them. Strange as it may sound, for my experience with the Link, I actually preferred the feel of the polymer handles a bit over the aluminum. They do have some M390 and 20CV bladed variants of the Link that still run under $100.

The 0999 is a fairly large and complex knife, and I was really curious how it would fare scaled down and optimized for mass production. I thought it turned out really awesome. It kept the futuristic vibe of the 0999 in a very EDC-friendly package (size and balance).

Dividend and Bareknuckle were both mentioned too. The Bareknuckle is also quite a knife. There was a CF/M390 limited run available a while back for a steal. If you are into lighter weight designs, the 0707 is super sleek and super light, and the 0762 also has a more "out there" design while weighing in under 3oz for a full sized knife. The 0450 collaborations with Sinkevich are also great, compact, and light weight knives.

Those pics really put the 0999 in size comparison nicely! Great Link collection!
