Howdy!

(I received my 25 on the 1st, been in my pocket every single day since then.)

As some of you may know, ive posted a few different threads about me with traditionals.

I've tried em, and tried em over and over again.

The thing is, I've always really liked them, just couldn't kick my moderns out of my pocket.
Everything changed since I got my 25.

I absolutely love it. The quality seems better every time I look it over. I'm really liking carbon steel also.

If I sit and look over my Case knives, I can always find something wrong, no-matter how petty it may be. But not with this guy.

A couple times I've carried my multi-tool, but never without the GEC.

I don't even have a "hankering" to carry a one-hander-clip-knife.
Thats it!
I'm sold.
Let the downward, money-draining spiral begin.

I blame it on every one of you. :D

I find it odd that such a small knife is what did it for you since moderns are usually quite hand filling. (Not sure what moderns you carried though).

Either way, it’s always nice to find a great knife that you just can’t set down, no matter the style. Congrats on that!

Yes, which #25, and of course, PICS! And what do you do if you need a bigger job of cutting? There's nothing wrong with carrying big and small, modern and traditional . . . after all, you have multiple pockets don't you? I often carry an SAK, a traditional and a modern.

I'm with you Jeff, I find the #25 to be the perfect compliment to a bigger knife, either modern or traditional, but it would never be my one and only.

I’ll never go with one type of knife at the exclusion of all others. But I sure enjoy carrying a traditional in my watch pocket with jeans. I’ve leaned more towards traditionals in recent years. There’s something very satisfying about their simplicity, as well as their function and beauty.

And...I need a 25!

GEC got me hooked too. The knives they make are just beautiful.

It gets really expensive when you love a pattern more than you expect you will once it’s in hand, so then you have to get multiples. This year the Churchill and the single blade 78s did that to me. Welcome to the sickness.

Bladeboss, it very often starts like that. Many may pass through your hands before you finally find one that "clicks" with you, either because of looks, or more often, the elusive thing called a bond. It may be from the 'feel' of the knife in your hand, or a combination of things that can't be put on paper. Sometimes the epiphany comes and things will never be the same again. Also it takes some time to really appreciate the smaller knives.

Welcome to the sickness!

It makes you slow down and appreciate everything more when using a traditional. At least for me!

Glad you found the one for you! I started with traditions long ago in my scout days, and then moved into moderns. Now I carry one of each:)

I tried to get into the tactical/modern folders and I just couldn’t manage it. There was a lack of soul in the overly machined feel of the black coated tanto blade. The extra thick blade stock made it feel like a substantial knife, but when faced with actual cutting chores it paled in comparison to the thin blades of my traditional blades.

Welcome to the club! The #25 is a do it all little knife and it’s ability to disappear in the watch pocket is exceptional.

I tried a number of patterns and found that I carried some more than others. Some that I thought I’d carry alot just didn’t end up getting carried so I let most of them go to a good home.

Anymore these days I carry one traditional and that’s it. I’ve never felt under-knifed. For the past two months it’s been the yellow Case Peanut.

You are making progress to a bigger universe, Grass hopper!:D

Thanks for the replies folks!

I'll try to get some pictures up today.

Life's been crazy for everyone in upstate NY lately. Its -24°F right now, hasn't been above 5°F in over a week.

Aaaah.... carry what you like, change and change again. Too many folders and too few pockets! Enjoy. I have been carrying one traditional and a modern lately. Modern rides clipped in the back pocket and traditional in front pocket. The traditional gets most of the use as I tend to reach for a knife in my front pocket.
