one hand opening a mnandi

i tried the search but nothing seems to be popping up on this topic so sorry if it has been covered before. how easy is it to open the mnandi with one hand?

I have small hands (rather "fat" fingers!) and have no problem;it seems that I can open easily open with my third finger and or thumb, depending on how I am holding knife.

It's amazing really, how the old thumbnail recess here becomes another one-hand opening option.
Not as quick or safe as a Spyderhole or thumbstud, maybe, but then the Mnandi is rarely carried as an EDC user

I prefer the oversized Mnandi nail nick to most thumbstuds. And yes, one handed opening is a breeze for me and my medium hands.

True it isn't as easy, but I carry mine almost daily, and open it one-handed 90% of the time. I love it!
