One-hand opening before the thumb-hole and thumb-stud....

That's a good way to open a 110; I use it myself quite often.
It's also pretty easy to thumb it open, using the nail nick as if it were a "Spyderhole."
 
I never opened mine that way, I always held it tip up,and snapped my wrist down, and POP!
 
There was an item I recall seeing in an old Easy Rider magazine , it was a steel clip that attatched to the spine of the blade with a little thumb 'catch' on one side of the clip , worked much like a thumb hole.
 
I used to use the nail nick like the Spydie hole. I hate to think of myself as an old timer. That was a few years ago and I am sure I had stronger hands. :jerkit:
