Decided to give my Bushcrafter a little woods time today and while I was out thought I'd use it to make a one handed ferro-rod fire.
If you did damage one hand and had to rely on ya ferro-rod this is one way to get around the problem !

Took me a little while to get a good enough spark because the spine is fairly smooth. This situation would be the only time I'd use the spine of my knife with my Ferro-rod, if you do use the spine I'm sure Mark would leave it sharper if requested.
