One handed Trekker

Bought one a week ago, engraved, and have to say, it's a great knife. Has everything I need on a daily basis, and would be easy to become my EDC, although I want to use them all. I'm afraid if I buy too many different models, I won't be able to decide which one to bring with me that day. Anyone else feel this way? Going to the Victorinox shop in Short Hills, NJ on Monday to peruse their selection. Any suggestions? Interested in an alox model, maybe a Cadet or Climber.

I also have Trekker. The only thing I don't like is that the liner lock works backwards for a right handed person. Seems very
awkward to me. I carry a Deluxe Tinker as my EDC. Has all the tools I want/need. Depending on your tool needs, maybe
a Deluxe Tinker, Tinker, Compact or Climber. I personally prefer the Ceillidor handles. The Alox models mostly just remind
me of the standard US military pocket knife.

I agree about the Tinker...I've had one for awhile, very handy. Will look into the Climber. Thanks for the input.

I have a couple OHTs. Great knife but I stow them in my packs. For Alox models, I love the Farmer. But like Rich, I prefer the plastic scales because they hold tools I want which are unavailable on the Alox scales. I have a Climber, vintage Explorer, Champ, Cadet, and assorted others I can barely recall which models anymore. I carry a Classic on my keyring and an Ambassador in my pocket.

Yeah, the only reason I'm looking at maybe an alox Cadet is as a knife for dress pants, because of its slim profile.

The Cadet is a nice EDC option, I prefer a Pioneer though for having a bit larger blade and especially for the great and versatile awl. I regularly carry an alox model and have a Classic on my keyring for toothpick and tweezers. The OHT only for outdoors, for me it's a bit too large for EDC purposes.

Ahhhh, finally! This is how we lefties feel all the time. Schadenfreude is just so satisfying. I'd love to see every rightie use an OH Trekker for a while so they could all see what we've been saying for, well, forever.

Victorinox advertises the one handed opening bit, but not the two handed closing part (at least for us righties). :p

Lefties  . What a bunch of whiners. Schadenfreude is for losers. Here's the right hand drill for closing the OHT blade: press in on the lock with your index finger, lower the blade slightly with your thumb on the spine, get your fingers out of the way and finish folding the blade. Then wag the middle finger of your right hand at the jeering mob of sniveling lefties and you're done :) .

Exactly what I do!

I am a righty, but what makes it interesting now is that I could easily close my OHO Soldier 2008 as easy as my right.
