This one was made to order, He wanted something on the Bolo line but a little different. He will be headed for Afganistan in a few short weeks.
Damascus is 300 layers , OAL 15 1/4" with a 9" blade. Top clip is sharp, sharp, sharp as ordered. Hardware is damascus and Ironwood handle. This piece is definitely a handful and all business.

Thanks for lookin'

Bill

Thats a history making knife Bill. It reminds me of some of the stories we hear from WW2 veterans that still have and cherish the knife that saved their life more than once. I too hope it serves him well.

Nice looking knife and it looks like it WILL serve the owner well. I hope he makes it back safe and has stories to tell of how the knife served him.

Thanks everyone.I appreciate the comments.

Joe- .275

Dave- yes it gets a leather sheath with stud. He didn't want a loop, said it will attach to his pack for easy and ready use this way.

Bruce- I made a bolo for another Marine 2 yrs. ago., he was wanting one like the WWII soldiers carried, it served him well in Iraq and other places around the world, I don't know exactly where its at right now but last reports were it was as tough as the Marine carring it and carried almost every day.

Will - No recurve, it just looks that way because of the top clip grind.

Very nice, sir!!! I sold a big camp chopper to a Marine colonel a little while back and he said that he knows of 3 Marines, including one in his unit that had to use their knive as last ditch weapons against insurgents in Iraq. While I hope that your customer doesn't ever have that opportunity, I know that he will be well equipped if he does.

Its always good to have some backup!
Better to have and not need then to need and not have!!!!!!
