Not everyday I put together a package like this one:

The blade was made from oversize 3/16" thick CPM3V. I drilled the heck out of it to make it even lighter (I normally use 1/4" thick 5160). The handle is Arizona Desert Ironwood...with the right amount of weight to counterbalance the blade.

The perfect combination of Indestructible and Gorgeous.

I even had the sheath "over built" and made extra tough/durable.

Words can't describe how it feels to heft this lil' guy. Perfect balance & feel. I wish I could KEEP IT!!!

:(

But, I'll take consolace in knowing it's going to a GOOD HOME!

You out there bro?!?

Hope you got a birthday coming up soon or something....:foot:

Dan

How much ?

EDIT....... I guess I should have asked ........

"Is it for sale"? ......... ... :D

:eek::eek::eek::eek:
Now, that is SweeeeeeT!
:D:D:D:D

That is an awesome combo!

So is it custom or handmade or both? Just kidding! ;)

I will gladly take the heat from the wife for getting this one and I'll be smiling the whole time!
:D

Thanks for the BLADE pass and I will see you there bro'!

Uh-oh!

Now if I can only figure out how to use it without putting any scratches on it ; maybe it just needs to go on a shelf or safer yet in a safe:rolleyes:

Just kidding guys!

I look forward to seeing how the 3V works out!

If anybody is interested I'll post a review and some more pics when it gets here!:thumbup:

Very nice work Dan ! They both compliment each other. That brings to mind how good my Survivor would also look in a sheath like that :D

Dan,

Please tell whoever crafted the sheath that it looks awesome and that I really do think it completes the package!

Sometimes we get caught up with the blades but a poor sheath just takes away from the experience a blade such as this or other fine knife should bring to its owner.

I would rather have a naked blade than to have it hidden in an ugly/poor sheath!

Both sheath and blade are absolutely amazing. I'm sure it cost a few pennies as well! Pennies well spent though!

I think Dan enjoyed making this one :foot:.... once his fingers recovered from grinding on all that 3V!:grumpy:

Maybe not enjoyed but I think he liked it AFTER it was finished!

Now to start saving those pennies again.

The Monster Nessies are a labor of love indeed....

The simplicity of the design is deceptive...a lot of work goes into these lil' guys!
