This is one you may have seen in Coop's thread, at the time it did not have a stand or sheath so here's the whole package. I am still in my scale phase on this skinner. It has a blade of my own damascus, 1095 & 15N20, 3 1/4 inches long, 7 3/4 inches overall length. The handle is of scale shaped tiles of Dall sheep horn, some of them have been heat treated for color. The black wood is sunken oak, The patterns in the blade, the handle and the sheath are meant to compliment each other. The guard is of nickle silver. I hope you like it, I really enjoyed putting this one together. Thanks for looking at it. Mark:D

Mark.

I have no idea how you did the scales and matching sheath, but I KNOW you don't mean "looking at", I say "ADMIRING".
That is one exceptional piece.
Bravo!
My only criticism is, such a spectacular handle may deserve a bigger blade!
And "like it"!?!
Uh, I'm "this close" to offering my first born child just to possess such a work of art!

yuh, I dig it.

OK
My first born says he'll go if I get the kinife AND you teach him how to do what you do!

All the best. Thanks for sharing.

Mark, that is most interesting! I really like it all! Do you buff that or use a finish?

It is all buffed with a wax finish, it's really shiny in the hand, the challange is getting pictures without any glare. Thanks for the nice comment all. Mark

To you who do not know Mark he is the real deal.I consider it a pleasure to call him a friend and neighbor. Having spent over fifteen years on a trap line and guiding in the most remote part of Alaska his wilderness skills are as as impressive as his knife making.

Mark,
I like the unusual handle construction. Nice piece :D.Is the handle stabilised ?
Thanks for sharing

best regards from NL

Mark, That's a sweet looling knife and those handles, I've not seen anything like them. If you need that knife tested out just ship it to me.
I'll be more than happy to test her out for ya. :D

This is the second one of your knives that I have seen, Mark.
The first one was your "Musk Ox Horn Gambler"...

I loved the way you combine the dramatic design with extraordinary
materials and present an amazing knife/sheath package, making every
detail match harmoniously.

Beautiful!

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)
