I have been picking up some good bargain fixed blades of late. A couple of Bowies, a Browning Fisk camp/hunter, a Paki made damascus bowie with bark stag that truthfully is pretty darn nice and a bowie a fella "pimped" for lack of a better term from a Spanish made bowie a Muela me thinks. Anyways my eldest comes up from his room this p.m. and hands me one I totally forgot about. A Livesay Sand Bar bowie #14. Pretty cool if I do say so myself. Big and bad and carbon steel and pretty sharp too. So there you have it. keepem sharp

Very cool. Now I just need to concentrate on a sheath. I personally think that the knife would be a bit better if the point wasn't upturned as much. Maybe I'll have someone regrind it by following the coating along the edges. Anyone have any ideas about a down and dirty sheath? keepem sharp
