One inspiration for the GEC 15?

The two-bladed ebony GEC 15 sure looks a lot like this old Remington:

I think GEC knives tend to be very influenced by tradition..... They often put a little twist on it though. It's one of the things that makes them a cool company.
 
Oh good, now I don't feel so bad for wishing it were mine. :cool:
Seriously though it was the 15 in red jigged bone that opened my eyes to traditionals. I ordered a single blade and then later lucked into one of the Sawyer Barlows in ebony. I am now keen to this pattern and constantly looking for different variants. What I've learned in doing so is that I have a lot of catching up to do!
With the clip point versions coming in a couple of weeks I'm saving my pennies.
