Soon heading off for a week of car camping on the WA coast.

The knife for week will be the Cold Steel Finn Bear. I am taking other knives, but they will not be used unless there is some sort of drama with the Finn Bear.

I plan on using it for food prep, firemaking, light batoning for kindling, woodcarving, etc.
We'll be on the beach alot.

Any predictions ?

May have to resharpen a bit but think she will hold up fine. I used their canadian belt knife for about a month with no problems. My wife has taken it over as a kitchen knife now.

I look forward to your review when done. I just picked up the CS Pendleton Lite Hunter, and though I haven't had occasion to use it yet, it seems like a very nice little knife.

Sounds like fun. I have handled a few knives from the series, and I fully expect it to be able and handle it

that 4116 sharpens up so easy anyway... molded plastic handle aside, it's one of my favorite blades of all time. Have fun!
