This knife lives up to it's EDC name so well that this is the first time I've taken it off to scan it. It's a fixed blade EDC in D2-M steel with carbon fiber scales. The sheath is concealex by Bob Bailey, and fits just right. The false edge is fully sharp. Blade length is 4.25", OAL is 8.625".

Super sweet. The knife is light as a feather and perfectly balanced. Thin but pleasantly filling in the hand, it rides IWB small-of-back so well that it has moved the Wegner fixed to full time pack duty. It's no easy feat to supplant Big Weg in my heart, but this is about the best EDC fixed blade I could ever dream of.

Hey man, you told me EDC! Must have been them stone moving meds talking! In any case, it's MY EDC.

So, YOU are the one who grabbed that knife? That one is total awesomeness incarnate, but I was tapped out by the time I got there. Glad it went to someone who will enjoy and use it properly.

So you're saying I doesn't has to call it Johnson?

Brian,
Do you know why I didn't snap that bad boy up when Darrel arrived Friday morning? No?

I knew that if I grabbed it then you would be insanely jealous & be begging me to sell it to you & I would have had to gouge you for giving up such a sweet piece and I just couldn't bring myself to do that! He!He!He!

I'm glad you got it cause it really is a nice piece and you will fully appreciate it - I thoroughly checked it out when Darrel pulled it out.

Glad we got to meet - was fun - heard you were looking for me Sunday afternoon - was taking care of some business & tried to find you. Your taste in knives is impeccable, seeing as how we like similar things.

Brian, I must admit I am a little jealous - I would love to be able to have an attractive lady come up to me & say: "My, that is one nice Johnson you have there!" (ALB?)

Have a great day!
Bill

Oh, you doesn't has to call it Johnson...

Thanks, Bill!

Gang,

This is a great knife. The thinness of the handle makes it an effortless, low signature carry, that almost disappears on your belt. The handle is wide enough to fill your hand and provide excellent grip though. The flatness of the handle makes it move like a dream in grip transitions. It is big enough, with plenty of grip to cut anything, while being lite enough to carry inverted around you neck.

The best urban tactical design I have come across so far.

Typically, haven't gotten around to using the cord I bought to wrap the handle of my Johnson/ARCLite. Rarely seem to get anything done.

Anyhow, do you all think it would be possible to apply scales oneself to the ARCLite? I would assume that one should be able to get the pin holes to line up with the slots. Or, would that make the scales too dependent upon the epoxy? Even as thin as it is, I'd imagine drilling would be a chore.

Maybe I should just stick to wrapping it?
