Believe it or not, I have just one last Great Eastern knife I "have" to have. I've got my beaver tail two blade 48, my furtaker trapper, my single blade 23, my regular two blade 23, my single blade 48, my spear point and clip point Ben Hogans and last but not least, the shadow pattern 73 two blade trapper that I've coveted since I saw it in Scott Gossman's shop a couple years ago. I saw somewhere that there are single blade 73's out there, regular slipjoints, no linerlocks. Let's see some pics of these.

To think that I passed up on these when they first came out ...

Boggs,

I'm loving the glamour shots. Of the few b'tails I've got, I believe the wenge wood Furtaker Trapper is my fav. I sort of wish they'd do a beavertail version of every pattern they make. The shield is undeniably cool.

I keep saying "there's only one more GEC that I want" and then I find another :D

Same with Case, Schatt and Morgan, Queen, Scagel/Northwoods, German Eye, Boker, Fight'n Rooster etc...I'm broke!

Can I ask where you acquire your GECs?
I'm shopping at the Internet shops but just wondered.

Biglmbass........I with you on the wenge wood, that's what I typically carry just not the one in the picture.......I'd really like to see then jig Ebony

Had to chuckle when I read this title and thread.

Alas, how many have spent their entire knife collecting careers looking to pick up 'that last one'? :)

Yup, I'm pretty sure at least the last dozen knives I've bought have all been the last one. It was going to be that end-all, do-all, the-only-knife-I'll-ever-need, the-one-knife-I'll-carry-until-I-die knife! ;) Maybe the next one! :D
