One last question before I order my first sebenza

I have narrowed down my decision between a small 21 and a small 21 with micarta inserts.

My question is how durable are the inserts? This knife will be an EDC and I'm going back into the military so it might be seeing some hard use. I like the idea of the extra grip with the micarta but I don't want to introduce another part to the knife that can be damaged or lost.

PS: Thanks for the help here. I'm sure the same questions are asked over and over and can drive you crazy.

As far as I know they are very durable! Many prefer micarta over g10. and since they are not overlaid but are within a cavity within the TI, I can't see any problems. A seb is a hard use knife.

Pray for your safe return

get the micarta, you will love it. the scales will not go anywhere. trust me on that one.

The inlays wont fall out, they are done to the same hight standards as the rest of the knife.

Thanks for all the help on this forum! Went ahead and gave the wife a green light on the small 21 without inserts. Figured I wanted to start out with the original design that I feel in love with. I hope to add others with inserts down the road.
