One massive knife

I just received a knife the other day, apparently there were only ten made. Now I don't know what steel it's made of but it's a beautiful knife. The makers name is, Dao Nu("slave to the blades"), apparently also made knifes for 20+ years.

Has anybody ever heard of him?

This is the only one I have and it's from ebay. I'll try to post a better one sometime soon.

That is a great looking knife, my friend! What is the length of the blade? I'm sorry, but I am not familiar with the maker. Hopefully, someone else will be.

Regards,

P.S. Welcome aboard!:)

Thanks for the greeting.

As best as I can tell it's stainless metal, blade length is 8", thickness at the tang is 5/16", width 1/12", overall length 14" and the handle is micarta.

Did you get it on ebay or just the pic?

EDIT:

It was sent to you from Canada, right?
Bladeroyale sells a lot of crappy rip-offs on Ebay and it looks like he's making a lot of money with it too.

Maybe you got lucky, but judging by the sheath that comes with your knife and the other items he sells.....

How much did you pay for it?

You ARE just one of his victims, aren't you?
(please forgive me, but with your 5 posts, and an ebay fraud involved, one gets suspicious of spam.)

Doesn't look like a very efficient grind for what the knife was designed for. With a 5/16 stock thickness and 8" blade that knife was designed with chopping in mind.

Well I did find out it's from china but it seems to be well made and takes a edge, how well it will last, time will tell.
I just wanted a cheap big knife that I can throw and mess around with without caring if it gets abused.

I made a sheath for this knife but still in the custom mode about it. Took it out for a field test just yesterday and I have no complaints so far.

I see that there's a 10" model of it's brother out now...wish I could cause it's an ok knife.

Thanks for the kind words, but with friends like you, who needs enemies.

Just cause I joined the club recently doesn't make me bad just cause I can't afford $1000 knives like some can. I just bought that knife, it's solid and well made.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience with the dealer..but I'll tell you something...

I complained about the sheath and he gived me a knife, a CRKT.

So please explain yourself.

BTW...pictures happenning soon.
