Well here is my collection of HI stuff so far. I have a couple of things still in transit. I've only recently gotten into kukris and I got the fever lol.
Enjoy...

That's just my HI stuff, I have a few other kukris from other sources. I am going to take photos of all my swords and other edged implements this weekend and post it in the Cantina. Still haven't received my Tibetan Sword yet but its only a day or two away! I guess its made by Sher Kami. How is Sher Kami's work? I know Bhakta Kami excels at fullers, does Sher Kami specialize or have a particular talent?

Sher makes really good stuff, he is known to overbuild his khukuris, but he also has the skill to make thin blades as well (ie 18" OAL @ 16.5 oz). He is a very skilled kami.

All of the kamis in Kumar's family are highly skilled, Kumar, Sher, Yuvraj, and I believe Dil, there may br some others, but those are the ones I know of.

What is it fourth one and the last one on your first upload photos
The first one is KLVUK and the last one is a 15in AK.

Here is a break down of all of them from the first photo...
1. KLVUK with Neem wood 20oz
2. KLVUK with satisal 23oz
3. Padam Suga 13in 16oz
4. WWII 18in 32oz,
5. Ang Kohla 15in 23oz,

VERY nice start on that collection considering just one month. Seems well thought out too the right blades for a lot of different tasks, though that might just have been coincidence based on what was available but it sure worked out well. Can't wait to see the collection updated with the Sher made Tibetan sword. Awesome GB!

I was thinking the same thing! :) Lovely collection, but they need using.

It might be hard to tell but I have used the red handled KLUVK, that thing can chop and slice and cut and just about anything else. I had a bunch of firewood in the back yard and I did a little testing with it. I cleaned it up after and stropped in. I have a nice wooden backed leather strop that is perfect for convex edges. I don't know if I have the heart to cut with the horn handled WWII... I might just leave that one pretty. I definitely have plans for the AK though. I cant believe how nicely it feels in the hand. I was worried the grip would be to small but it actually fits my XL hands quit well. Thanks for all the comments guys, it wouldn't as fun collecting this stuff without everyone else's energy. HI and its forum rocks!

Very nice start Gurkha! I was going to say you need a long blade but I see you have a Sword in transit. Cant wait to see that one. Sure would like to see them Katana pics too!

I will definitely be posting pics this weekend of the Tibetan. I will also take some pics of my katanas, I have over a dozen... I will post them in the Cantina.
