nice blade. Maybe round where the blade and handle meet a tad. You NEED to try scale handles. I think you will be amased what the final product will be like...........trhat blade screems micarta to me :)

Thanks for your wqords, Brian. As a matter of fact, even tough it is flat in shape that area has been very carefully rounded in order to provide a comfortable rest for the finger (as well as the back of the blade). Scales? well, I am working on a Capivara order now and on a new small utility model and both will have wood scales. Gonna try some micarta soon, too.

Thanks, buddies!
Don, I can´t wait to see your knife - I can even guess what will be its handle...:D
IG, agora você vê porque eu andava tão quieto.

great looking blade. I like the basic look with a bit of class. The woven handle gives it the classy finish.

If you like asian blades big blades have a look at this site. The bloke there is a mate of mine he has some beautiful pieces.

I think he is a bit behind with orders at the moment but he is reliable. If nothing else it is a good place to pick up design ideas. The Asians have been using these knives in the the various forms for hundreds of years they would not be still using them if they did not work.
