Would anyone having the EDC Talonite please let me know if the pivot is adjustable (vs. a Spyderco rivet) and if the other screws on the frame may be removed with a hex or star wrench, so that the knife can be cleaned?

Thanks a lot!

I believe I'm correct in these statements:

1. The blade pivot can be adjusted with a torx wrench.

2. The EDC can be disassembled, but I wouldn't recommend it. The pivot screw and pocket clip screws come out easily, but the screws that hold the frame together are dabbed with LokTite. The frame is a very open design. It's easy to clean without disassembling.

Buzzbait is correct.

I second the "do not disassemble" motion. It is very open in design. Just hold it under some hot water in the kitchen sink, relube, and your ready to go!

Thanks guys,

I would have taken the knife apart just to have a look under the hood, but now I will just leave it alone. This knife will be joining the family in the future.

All set to buy it until the Cuda MAXX came along! I can't think of many uses for the MAXX, but that does not dampen my desire to own one.:p
