Currently have a SOG fasthawk. Plan to buy a Smith and Wesson Escape and Evasion as I bought my Dad one and we both love it. Also considering the Cold Steel Trench Hawk just because I think it's neat.
Here is my question though. When hiking, I'd like to have a hawk that is great for wood and ok as a defensive tool (2 and 4 legged animals). The E&E will be strapped to my B. O. B. because I understand its not as good for wood. My hawk for hiking will primarily be used for wood and I intend to buy two so the wife can have one as well.
I'm rambling a bit so back on course. What hawk would you recommend for hiking/camping duty? Prefer it to have a sheath that allows quick deployment if possible. Price IS a factor. Will have to stay under $100 each.
