I finally got my Lenox Diemaster II blade on the HF bandsaw. Man that thing is nice! I spent 45 minutes on Saturday morning just cutting out blade blanks, and I actually had fun doing it! What I really liked was the fact that when I went to profile the blades it was zip, zip zip and I was done. Very cool.

I'm running the saw on the slowest speed, and the blade never gets warm, but the steel gets pretty warm. Does this mean I'm feeding the steel into the blade too quickly, or is this just how it is? I'd say I'm using medium pressure, not really trying to rush things or anything. Also, good call on making a better table to catch the little chips before they jam in the lower bearings. I just did a quick job uising some MDF and I can see that it was excellent advice. Thanks! :D

The steel getting warm is just a natural thing. Heat just builds up in it from the friction. You may have to cool it off occasionally as you work it. Nothing to worry about. :)
