Interesting! But the question that immediately jumps to mind: I can buy a lightstick that lasts 12 hours for around $1 apiece. This new product is a lightstick that lasts for 12 hours, after which I have to replace the batteries, which almost certainly cost much more than $1. And now I have the fragility of something electrical.

;course, that's a little unfair. I almost never want 12 hours straight of light. Witht he lightstick, once it's turned on, that's it. With this electric thing, I can turn it on for an hour at a time, or whatever.

Krill lights take two AA cells, and last 60 hours for the extreme (bright) or 100 hours for the regular.

So, to equal one extreme Krill, you would need 15 watch batteries.

This seems like rather expensive light to me. Walt

Joe,

Back when I was young and foolish, (an active caver) we always insisted that everyone carry three light sources. Several guys carried light sticks as a fourth, but never as a third because they cannot be checked for function.
