Blues and I are very happy to welcome Darby as the latest Mod. to the Custom forum. Darby and Nifrand bring a lot of knowledge and new blood here and I am excited about the future for this forum.

Both of them will have 100% of Blues and my support, but at the same time we want them to have full reign (with Sparks blessings) to make this place better and to be able to "put there own stamps here".

We have been talking with Darby and Randy and due to their passion, I think good things are in store here. As a member, I am looking forward to supporting them and helping to make this forum more fun and informative.

Please joing in welcoming and supporting our new Mods. At times it is not an easy job and I know they will need our support during the few times things get a little hairy around here. Hopefully those times will be even more rare in the future.
 
Two wonderful choices. Again, the best thing about Darby and Randy getting the job is that it wasn't offered to me. I for one pledge on supporting whatever moves and decisions these two gentlemen make, good or bad. I look forward to seeing what great new things these guys come up with for this forum.

Well alright Darby! As far as I am concerned a better choice could not have been made. Darby is a student of the forged blade and he soaks up knowledge like a sponge. I am going to enjoy this a whole bunch.

The future looks bright.

Thanks Gus and Blues for all the effort that you have put out to make this forum as good as it is. You guys are great.

Welcome to the new mods! Darby's and Nifrand's posts have *always* been a pleasure. (But for the life of me I still don't know these guy's real names. :confused: ...I'm a rookie.)

Congrats to Gus and Blues and a HEARTY THANKS for all your contributions in this forum! :)

Keith, you called? Just like SUPERMAN; I'M HERE!;)

I knew Randy was in Vegas and didn't want to "start" without him. ( He accepted the position first) He is back now.

I want to thank you all for your enthusiasm and support.I hope that I won't let "ANYONE" down.

Golok, you are right about power. I don't believe this is "power" as much as it's an opportunity to become more involved. I'm grateful for that! :)

Sorry for my apparent impatience. I just want to get a dialogue started with the new moderators so that we can learn what it is that they have planned for the custom forum. Are their plans to be proactive, or are they thinking of staying more in the background?
 
Well as all of those who know me ,I am a bit shy and don't jump in with both feet.That being said, and for Coop's info, my name is Randy Morgan.(I know Coop from the TKCL List where I mostly lurk).
Anyhoo I guess I am going to help moderate this Forum with Darby,whom I don't know too well but his rep has preceded him.Great guy and a pretty fair Journalist.
I personally would welcome any input about this forum.There is a lot of knowledge to be gleaned from Bladeforums,and the three or so years I have been here I have learned very much about knives.Even tho I have been collecting Custom knives for a long time,and knew a lot of knife people,this place has introduced me to people who share my love from all over the world.
I hope to"do all you Custom Forum people" proud.
