One more surface grinder question...

Are there any makers near Columbus, Ohio who have one? If so, I would be grateful to have a chance to see one work. I could bring the coffee. I know a few good jokes, and I am good with a push-broom. I really need to have a look at one of these.

Some of you have mentioned that you bought one, weren't satisfied with it, and converted it to a belt sander. If you would ever like to convert one to cash, please let me know.

the only ones that are converted to belts belong to knifemakers...and mainly because they are a bunch of dodos....the wheel that they come with makes a finer cut and lasts way longer than a belt....plus you can run flood coolant on the wheel...which is a necessary plus.
