We got a call early this AM from a Newari family who are friends. They gave us this bad news. There were 11 Nepalis who worked at the WTC. One is confirmed dead. When the news of his death reached his brother in Australia the brother had a heart attack and died. So, two casualties. We don't know about the other 10.

Sonam works in the financial district but I'm not sure if he worked in the WTC or not. I have not heard from him. Bhanis, if you read this make a post so we will know you are okay.

Please send our prayers and condolences to the families.

it seems it's not only an American tragedy.

New York is populated with people of almost every color and religion from almost every country in the world. I am sure people everywhere are going to feel the effects of yesterday.

More Prayers and smoke on the way.

Uncle Bill, if you find out more, please let us know.

I'm with you Bro.
It seems the US has more support from all countries than we have had in a mighty long time.
Now everyone is afraid as they know the same thing could happen to them and their country.

Smoke and prayers going up for our planet.

There must have been a hundred or more international companies in each tower - not to mention the tourists who happened to be there. The terrorist monsters who did this really crossed the line this time...

I happen to work at an US-owned company (John Hancock Life Malaysia) and there are already increased security measures announced in the fear that the attack was just a precursor to attacks on US interests worldwide or some fanatics try to take advantage of this incident to stage their own brand of copycat violence. Some of the people are fearful of going to work already. Me, I'm considering stashing a Khukuri at my workplace...

LikeI read somewhere: Forgive your enemies, but not before they have been punished

Thanks, Andrew. We have men and women on this forum who are very strong in several faiths but a common denominator of those faiths is the concept of forgiveness. I hope the others are not finding it as difficult to implement these teachings as I am.
