I was forunate enough for Chris to have me photo this amazing piece at the recent Plaza Cutlery show:

Well, I never usually win anything by drawing. For example, in almost 9 years as a dealer, and while attending so many knife shows, I was drawn only twice by Ernie Emerson. (I kept both knives).
However, when Lady Luck did decide to let me have one at Plaza, I was overjoyed to have her tap Chris on the shoulder and let him draw my name.
This is a treasure that I will not sell. Not only because of what it is, but more because of my friendship with Chris. I guess for this and other reasons I was meant to have it.
To answer the question of a sheath, I do not think so. This is a collector piece and one that must be seen and handled to appreciate its real beauty. Mitch and FOOJ know what I mean.
As many of you know, Chris was and still is an accomplished Custom Knife Maker. However, with the company having achieved the success that it has over the last 15-20 years and his time spent in R&D and other functions, he has little time, if any, to make knives like this one. A real shame, in my opinion.
One of the neatest comments made about the dagger at the show was by Mick Strider. He came over to Chriss table after I had won it and looked it over carefully. After complimenting Chris on the style, beauty and workmanship, he burst out saying. MAN
THAT MUST HAVE BEEN A BITCH TO SHARPEN!!
As always, the extra touch was provided. Here is the certificate that accompanied the knife.
Take care, Neil
