Just thought I'd share a couple photos of this sheath I crafted earlier today. I'm pretty pleased with how well it turned out.

It's actually two layers, even tho at the edges it looks like one layer with two colors. :D

Nice looking.

Why did you leave off the adjustable tension? That seems to be your "trademark".

I didn't put it on this one because it's MY knife that's in hand, in the shop. Therefore, I can tune the sheath to this knife specifically, to the exact amount of tension I desire.

But since I don't know how much tension YOU desire/require, I apply the adjustable tension feature to the customer sheaths. That way, YOU can decide how much is "just right."

Wow...that is very nice! I don't recall ever seeing one done that way. Tension? Are you the maker that had these on Ebay? The one's that could be disassembled for cleaning?

Nice job bro!

Yes, I am. As far as I know, these are the only sheaths with this design feature. I came up with it when a friend kept putting a dirty blade into his kydex sheath to the point he really couldn't pull it out easily.

It was for a longer knife, too, so it was next to impossible to clean out. I got to thinking.........."there's gotta be a better way".............and there was !! :D :D :D

David do you have a website or something where people/I can see your work and possibly order something?

Thanks for asking. I have primarily been focused on crafting world class holsters (The World Champion uses mine to win those World and National titles!) along with teaching people how, exactly, to shoot better and faster. (I am a former cop and current triple ranked GrandMaster, etc)

One thing about knives is, there are a BUNCH of different ones out there. Also, it seems that everybody and their brother think they can make a good sheath (or holster!) when such is not the case. As a result, I've not pursued sheaths very hard. I've made plenty for myself and friends, but I've not tried selling them on purpose until now. And then, I'm just going to focus on key Busse and Swamprat knives that beg for my "Nuclear Sheaths" with adjustable tension. I just picked up a new Chopweiler with this in mind.

I say all that to say this: my website, www.kytac.com, aside from needing some serious updating, does not show ANY sheath work there. That's one reason I've posted so many pictures of them over on the Exchange. I posted this one here to show what I can do for those that haven't visited the Exchange recently.
