I just got this in from Scott Sawby and he said he will never make another because the titanium was such a pain.
I wanted the lightest and thinnest C/U ever made, and I got it.

It is a Large Combat Utility with titanium handle and steel pins. Blade and handle sides are only .100 inch thick. Right hand only clip from the small size C/U, and no hole for left hand clip. Thumb grooves on blade spine for grip, and all satin finished, not blast.

High quality and tight as expected. Disappears in my pocket and stays there unnoticed till needed.
Thanks Scott.

Now thats a knife model I never owned and have always wanted.

Very nice! I love the way he does the spine, especially slim like that.

Awesome!!!! I've got several of Scott's piece and they are all superb.....congrats!

You lucky lucky dog. I have wanted a combat utility for a while but every one I have handled has been so heavy. A titanium one would ROCK!

Congrats on convincing him to make at least one!

that's slick! It's not often you see a modern style folder assembled with pins instead of screws......I like that:thumbup:

Darcy:)

Sawby's knives were part of my first foray into the custom knife world and I still have the four that I originally bought
from him. Excellent craftsmanship and wonderful designs are his hallmark. I still love and appreciate his work.

Thanks, I asked Scott to make me 2 more, a small and another large, but no dice. I measured the handle and it is less than .300" thick. Each slab of titanium is .100" and the blade is .100" thick.

Amazingly thin, so much more my preference than the heavy, blocky "tactical" knives that currently are so popular. Bet it would slice like a demon. Congratulations on bringing the concept to fruition.

Sawby's work has always been some of my favorite. good job snagging this one. That thing would never leave my pocket.

Amazing Sawby C/U..WOW !
I think the Ti and the steel pins and the overall thinness win the day.
Treasure it.
