17 inches and 12 ounces of perfect khukuri by Kumar. This is the first khukuri received using the antler I sent over for handle material and I think Kumar was selected to make it because he makes the best handles of any kami at BirGorkha. Beautiful work by Kumar -- fit and finish are perfect and handle is pinned so it will never go anywhere. Pretty nice looking stag horn picked by old Uncle Bill. Karda and chakma works of art in their own right. Excellently done.

The style as best as I can determine is Chitlangi and village sarki has done this style scabbard in his usual excellent manner.

There is not another khukuri in the world like this one and never will be -- maybe similar but not exactly the same so it qualifies as a one of a kinder and it's yours delivered today for $150.

Wow! Great snag Cabbit! More pics and some words about it later please?

Beat me to it, Cabbit; congratulations! That's a very interesting Chitlangi, and a very unusual handle. Do post your impressions when you receive it, Cabbit... Chitlangi's are my favorites, and I'd be highly interested in your input.

How many more one of a kinds are peeking out of those recently arrived boxes, Uncle Bill? :D

Actualy bill mentioned this one in a letter from nepal, Been wanting to see it ever since.
excellent steal!

I also managed to snag the other one of a kinder mentioned in that letter...

Cabbit?

Be careful now, don't gloat. We soon will have transportation (currently being built in Japan) and will hunt you down, tie you up, and make you watch a continuous loop of Joannie Loves Chachi re-reruns. :grumpy:

Congratulations of your good fortune.

Hey Drdan. You didn't happen to get the other 25" Chitlangi from about a month ago did you? The Chit is my favorite looks wise and the 25" is great.

No Mark, that wasn't me. :) I didn't even know that they came in 25" lengths... :D I did order a special order a 21" Chitlangi about 5 weeks ago, & it should arrive in Reno any day now. Dan Koster will be tweaking it before it makes its trip to Italy. I'll ask Dan to take a few photos before it ships out; it should be nice.

By the way Mark, congratulations on your excellent taste in khukuris! ;)

Just arrived today and I'm really impressed. This is a small, light and fast khuk, and I don't think it currently fits into any other catagory, truly a one of a kind.

The antler is beautiful!

Very well made, but not a user due to its beauty and uniqueness.
