Childhood nothing. I had that last week at Chunn's grocery where they still make sandwiches.

Dennis Chunn, RIP.

If you don't like peanuts in your cold drink you might be a communist! :D

Peanuts in a beverage? What kind of Adams Family snack is that?

Ever had Coca Cola from Mexico? They use real sugar not corn swetener like here. It tastes like Coke when you were a kid.

I've heard of salted peanuts in Coke. Never understood the appeal behind it though. Maybe it's never been described well enough.

You suck down half the cold drink, then you open the bag of peanuts........

Yeah um I can say as a damned Yank that Yins are the first ones to ever have told me about peanuts in coke. I have never heard about that before once in my life.

I guess I shouldn`t ask you about grits....:D

Hi All-

Why would someone drop salted peanuts in a bottle of Coca-Cola? Does one eat the peanuts after finishing the drink? Does the extra salt or the oil from the peanuts improve the flavor of the beverage? I've been around the block and must say I've NEVER heard of this technique.

The nuts simply look like they would impede the flow of the cool liquid.

Seen it plenty of times. Not a fan myself. Virginia is "South Enough" I guess...
