The hawkbill is one of my favorite patterns, especially the ones made by schrade. The flat butt handles are unique, and stand apart from the conventional rounded butt hawkbills I have a couple, this is one I got some time ago, the blade had been tipped and worn alot, the bolsters were pitted and the handles were pretty dinged up. I tore into it today and seen what I could dowith it, polished the bolsters and handles down, cleaned up the spring and liners, and reshaped and refinished the blade. I left it the brushed satin finish schrade was famous for. I think I'm going to make this one my user, since it isn't origional.
