This is the second "decent" knife I have made and my first sale to my brother in law. It is 1/8 O-1 tool steel, HT was done in my propane forge and tempered in the oven for 2, 2 hours cycles at 400 degrees and it holds an edge like a champ! Scales are camo G10 with 3/16 brass pins and a 1/4 SS thong tube in the butt. The sheath is camo Kydex .063 thick with screw post hardware from Tandy leather, to make it a take down sheath, and it has a perfect lock up. These pics were taken after he used it for a while so please pardon the slight patina. Thoughts and comments are welcome!! Thanks

Great job!! I'm new to knife making myself, so I know how frustrating it can be. One thing you may want to consider, L6 tool steel. For my knives, I use antique crosscut saw blades, and the steel is the same recipe as L6. My grandfather was a master bladesmith, and that's the only steel he would use. And one other thing, where did you purchase your scales and pins? They're nice.

Thank you and I bought the lanyard tube from USA knifemaker and the brass pins I got from the welding shop I work at, but you can get them all.most anywhere.
