Here is one of the last of the villagers. It is 13.5 inches overall and weighs about one pound. Fairly beefy, about 7/16 thick. The fit is okay but the bolster is nasty looking. Finish is good and the kami has the blade hardened up to 56 or 57 Rc with a pretty good edge on it. The handle has a small crack next to bolster but I don't think it is going to develop. There is a token buttcap and keeper on the handle to try to fool us but I am 99% certain this is a partial tang on this one.

Karda and chakma are typical village style and quality.

The scabbard is unusally good for a village model. I wish they would hire the sarki who did this last bunch of scabbards for the villagers. He is very good.

Frog is pretty good, too.

We will deliver this villager to your door for $35.

Call or email if interested.

Even if it is a partial tang a brass or other metal pin through the handle and tang will make it where it will never fail. And it isn't hard to do. Took me all of 15-20 minutes to fix it.

I gave the one I had like this away to another Cherokee who is going to use it in Ceremony.
I know it will do anything he needs to do with it and he can pass it on down when he's to old to do the demanding things that are sometimes required of us doing Ceremonies.

Has anybody figured out how to delay the feed to Harry's computer by half an hour?

Well, one of these days I'll have to give back to H.G. Wells his time machine, but seriously, if one is interested in a certain type of khukuri, all I do is ask. Uncle Bill is pretty good about knowing what is available and what is coming in. So again, if you are interested in a particular style BirGhorka makes, just contact Uncle Bill. It's that easy...

Make sure you sign up for the East Coast Khonvention. And don't give us the "I got lost and couldn't find the Khonvention. Take a compass with you and you *can't* miss it . The West Coast one had so much steel in one place it changed the magnetic center... well just take a compass with you and you'll find the HI Khonv.
