I watched Dave open the priorty mail box.....The leather 110 came out first...Then """BUCK WOOD""" Oh man... I neaver thought I would add one to my rare/oddball 112 collection 1 of 6 made from the wood from the Buck building when the facade was replaced in 1998,satin nickelbolsters, mirror polished stamped 4 of 6 "Buck Wood". Of the 6 made 1 is in the Buck museum, 1 raffled off at the 1998 Blade show, and 4 were offered in a BCCI drawing... I have number 4......This one will neaver be a DUC!!!!! This really means something special to me,the fact that it was even offered for sale to me says Im really a part of this GREAT Buck family of collectors...I feel humbled...

I suspect you, Clint, have thrown yourself on the 'Mason jar' to protect Dave in his hour of thirst------;) At any rate, NICE SCORE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another Dave (not refered to in the above text)

Im blaming Dave about the pics...I took some today but Dave said that they were not good enough to post But I wil have a "GOOD" pic or two in the next few days!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats! HUGE catch!

Now you and Dave need to play nice, take a class on photography real quick and get some pics up:D

Again congrats!

This knife was a known really rare 112.....ANY Buck collector would have liked to have it,but thankfully I was given the chance..... When my odd/rare 112 collection grows and get worthy of display ( 19 so far!! } a lot of Bucknuts will get to see it in person! When I have 40-50 intresting 112s,Ill build my display cases!Im thinking about going to Alanta for a day just to meet some of yall again, if I do Ill bring what I have in one of Daves old display cases and stickem on the end of a row somewhere!!!! Just for saturday mabe.....

Clint, here is a little more history on those 112's. There was a lot more wood available. When I suggested we make these I got some very strange looks. We could have made a run of at least 100 but I gave in and we only made 6.
Now I am used to the strange looks and use them as a guide. The stranger the look, the better the idea must be! ;)
Congrats on that addition to your collection!

ok you guys made clint take my jar !!
he wont give it back tell his pict is up here!
so here it is ....

i could not load it via his connection so i had to log in on mine...
enjoy ... the knife is the only one i have seen with brushed nickel!
nice...

Thanks Dave for posting it for me! Ill get a crisp shot of the wood soon....The reason "Buckwood" means so much to me is,by the simple fact it was offered to me first, Im now considered a serious collector...." This one belongs in your collection. " was the stament made when I heard about this rare, semi -historic 112....Ive found my focus early, and since odd/rare 112s fit my limted budjet because there not TOO expensive,I can with a little good luck and/or judgement build a show worthy, intresting display....

Wow,

That very nice Clint!!! Thanks Dave for helping with the photo...I look forward to more ;).
Tell us more of the history behind this knife Clint...It looks very interesting. Who's Idea was this knife? Clint try to get a photo of the part of the building your knife handle was made from...good for your display!!!!
