I got my uncle a Spyderco Native for his wedding this weekend. I picked it up at Wal*Mart, and I could not be more impressed with this thing. It's incredible. I wish I had gotten one instead of my Delica, but I'm happy to hand it off to a family member. I can't reccommend this knife highly enough, it really takes my breath away in aesthetics and functionality. I really think the blade geometry would be ideal for most medium and many heavy cutting chores, and it's about the size of the much-loved Mini Grip. I'd take this over a Mini Grip (and that's saying something, I love my full-sized Grip) and save quite a bit of money. Really, don't hesistate. It's a very stout, sturdy, and beautiful folder. The other best $40-less lockback is, of course, a Buck 110 (or even 112).

yeah, even here in canada. walmart has some very good prices, got a leatherman Blast for 65 bucks, not bad for canada.:)

I wonder if Spyderco has considered marketing their Byrd brand thru Walmart?
Great knives at a GREAT pricepoint would likely do very well at Wallyworld, I would think.

I jumped on the Walmart Spyderco Native also. Great knife, great grinds and a great steel at a great price. Ain't life great?:)
