How do you even know one is a fake? Amazon sells legit 0450s, and the fake ones are usually really bad, obvious fakes.

You probably just got a real one that's a lemon.

look at the difference font size on the blade and the logo on the clip is different size. slightly but its there.

Yes i'll get a full refund, it's just annoying. I lost my original that I had forever, and when I got the one from Amazon I noticed the action wasn't the same. The green on the spacers are also a bit off color too. If the action had been smoother I wouldn't even have noticed.

Honestly, that just looks like an iterative change that Kai might have made to their markings over the years. They change little aspects of their lettering and engraving every so often. You can contact them and they should be able to help you tell if it's legit, especially by using the serial number of the knife. But I've never seen a clone of the 0450CF that looked like that.

Then again, if you have one with a disappointing action, just return it. Amazon is great about that.

That's good about getting your cash back anyways. Question.. So I've been looking at whittlers, lambsfoot blades, etc.. and I noticed that bladeHQ has certain knives on Amazon but not on their actual site.. older knives that they say are out of stock on the site are on Amazon. You have any idea why that would be? I've been thinking about it the past few days actually, and idk

Before I buy anything on Amazon, I always read the customer reviews. That has the most influence as to whether I’ll buy a certain product. I’ve never bought a knife from there, probably won’t. I’ll also look to see if it’s full filled by amazon, that makes a big difference to me also.

Yeah I wouldnt say it's a fake just because of the smoothness of the action and the lettering being slightly different. Companies change lettering quite a bit. I remember when kizer first hit the market and everyone raved about how great they were. My wife ordered me the one I wanted for my Bday from Blade HQ and it had the grittiest worst action of any knife I've ever had. It was super sh***y. And that was from Blade HQ!! They accepted the return and I got a pm2 instead. Just because it's from amazon doesnt mean it's fake.

I would say the top one is fake.
The main grind isnt even at the tip.
Just my thoughts.

If its got lockslip, its probably legit. ;) haha.
Edit to add: I joke, I joke.

I think I they are both good. You may need to lube the one knife.

It's hard to tell with the picture's focus, but the font used for the blade markings on the top one looks weird, especially the CF being different sizes.
That's very suspicious.

If the knives are FBA, fulfilled by Amazon.. then BladeHQ would send large shipments of knives to Amazon to be stored by Amazon. When you have high quantity inventory inside Amazon warehouse, they raise the SEO so they come up easier on Amazon searches. Many shoppers like to use Amazon Prime because they ship faster. Prime products are in Amazon warehouse.

I appreciate it, brother. I'm new at this, so I was wondering if it was returns or something of that nature. Couldn't put it together in my head lol

I see the slight difference in font size but the bottom one is also a much later serial number. I have owned the same 0450cf and still have the all ti 0450 version. they both look legit to me.
