Had a whack to do today. Fired up the oven and started grinding. Once the oven was to temp I checked my liquid nitrogen only to find out it was all gone. Ok, shut off the oven and keep grinding. Then while grinding my belt flew off and ran across the shop floor. My upper wheel which is a coated wheel exploded! I was able to peel of the remaining rubber and keep going. Then my tracking adjustment screw stripped. Fixed that up. Decided to work on a nikiri I epoxied scales onto yesterday. Pulled it out and realized I set it down bad and the epoxy ran around the bolsters all over the blade and the front of the bolster last night. I'm about to loose it this point. Grt it all cleaned. Then for the grand finale I removed the tape from the blade only see that something must have been on the tape and caused 4 rust spots with deep pits. AEBL blade. Of course it was on the etched logo side. Gave up and helped the wife in the garden.
