Hello.

I apologize if this has been discussed but I searched and couldn't find any related threads.

I have a quick question regarding corrosion resistance of the one piece series A2 steel. I have had a Nkonka for awhile but it has only seen duty sitting in a case in my den. I just purchased a MK VI to use for camping/hiking and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with how corrosion resistant A2 is.

I usually put a high quality car wax on the metal surfaces of all my knives. Is this good enough or does anybody have better suggestions. Thanks in advance for your help.

I have two CRK's in A-2.Mine are used for camping and hiking as well. One of which has seen lots of hard use and has been used in and around water cleaning trout.I even store mine in the leather sheathes when not in use and have never had sign's of corrosion.I just wipe them down with Tuff-Cloth between trips. You can look forward to years of service from these knives with no worries.

Booger, thanks for the info. I am glad to hear from someone who has really used them. I will have to pick up some Tuff-Cloth to wipe it down after use. I didn't think they would corrode very easily by the quality of the KG-Gun-Kote finish plus the reputation Chris has for quality. These knives have been around for quite awhile and I guess there is good reason. Thanks again.
