Anyone out there actually use their one-piece for hunting purposes? If so, which one-piece do you consider the best for hunting and why?

I believe "snikersnee" I think I spelled that wrong, has hunted boar with a Project 2
though it could be a 1. And from what I have read he has killed more than one....

Hoodoo,
Are you talking about using a one piece for hunting as in field dressing game after it's been taken by other means, or are you talking about "Rambo jumping out of a tree" hunting where the knife is the primary weapon?

I'm talking about field dressing large game, skinning, whittling a stick to prop open the chest and abdominal cavity, removing glands, boning, quartering, slicing meat, etc. All the things you might do with a hunting knife.

Interesting post. I say that because I take a Chris Reeves One Piece with me while hunting, but rarely use it for the functions you describe. My situation is that I have accumulated many stainless steel skinner or semi-skinner style blades over the years and usually employ them for the field dressing and skinning chores you describe. I will carry a P-1 or Shadow IV with me for use around camp and as a rugged use "extra" knife.

If I were not so blessed with a collection of hunting knives already. I would likely go with both the Skinner and a Sable. Of the CR knives I own, fixed and folder, I own neither of these - probably for the reasons set forth; but that could change.
