One-Piece line to still be made?

Yesterday I was at the knife store and they have a fairly good selection of Chris Reeve knives. They had a Mountaineer 2 which I really liked, so I bought it.

They guy there said that it was no longer going to be made. Is he talking about that particular model or all the one-piece models? Is he just full of it?

I cant imagine him using as a sales push as I was already in the process of paying for the knife just because I wanted it.

That leads to the question, use it or stick it somewhere safe?

Always use it. For the third time :), I have started to carry my mic Seb exclusively, maybe this time I won't fearfully lock it away again after one use. Most everything else is gone. It's been cancelled, so what. The 21 micarta has replaced it. Now to save up for a burl Seb for dress carry.

Scratches add character ;).
 
I emailed Chris Reeve about future One Piece Knives and they stated that there are no new styles in the works and that they do discontinue certain models over time to make room for new products. I myself want a shadow I style with a sawtooth back. I see a similar style on ebay from time to time, but they are a fortune. I believe they are a Jereboam I. I am sure the one piece knives are here to stay, as they were his first. I know I will anxiously await any new models they come up with in the future.
